Dear Blog,

So it is definitely fall here in the city. I kept waiting for an Indian summer than never showed. Oh well, at least I have plenty of cashmere. Yesterday was a good Friday. First of all, it was the last day of the week, which automatically makes it the best day, and on top of that, I had a couple of good meetings and it was an overall productive work day - always helps when you can get out of the office for a while. Paul and I had dinner at some Italian place and then met our friend Samantha for "Marie Antoinette" out here in Queens. I think we, and by we I mean the whole theatre, left with mixed reviews. It was a beautiful movie, no doubt, but there were some slow parts, and a somewhat broken plot-line. I love Sophia Coppola so I can't say very much bad about it. When we were walking home last night, it got so cold, it seemed it could snow. Today I had my hair cut at Bumble and Bumble, and then perused H&M and Bloomingdales - I saw Stacey from TLC's "What Not to Wear" - you know how I love celebrities.
Off to a birthday party tonight and who knows what tomorrow. It's time to do a little decorating for Halloween I think.

Let them eat cake
Love,
Kate

Dear Blog,

So it goes, another Monday come and gone. Tonight the fresh direct man came to our house and brought me groceries - now I can finally make dinner like a normal person instead of eating cereal every night. Last weekend I took it easy because I'm still getting over some cold/flu stuff. Saturday Paul and I met the newlyweds Phil and Leena Anderson in SoHo for lunch at this place called the "antique garage" - it was very good and very Turkish. And there was a cute boy jazz trio. After lunch, Leena and I skipped out to see what was left over at the Calypso Sample Sale and picked up some $30 jeans which were originally $195. Now come on, who would ever pay that much money for jeans - like whatever. After that we found the boys at a bar, as usual and then I went home for some rest and roomate time. The next day Paul and I went to the "olive garden" - that's right, we had a gift card, and then to home depot to find Paul some curtains. I guess the neighbors were starting to get a wee bit too curious. That night we went to see "the departed" - now if you are in dire need of some foul language, lots of blood and violence, South Phily and alec baldwin, then this is the movie for you. I give it 4 stars. Once again, please enjoy my look of the day.

Good night blog,

Dear Blog,

Sniffles, cough, sore throat, aches and pains - you name it, I've got it. The Flu that is, or well, something that feels like the flu. I got a Z-pak and I should be ok by Monday, but it's been a rough week at best. Today I had a very early doc's appt in the city and then came home to the screaming children at the elementary school 3 feet from my bedroom window. The most pleasant thing today would be when I met our mailman. He's a lovely guy, very friendly and even told me to feel better - it reminded me of the Sesame Street song "These are the people in your neighborhood". Anymore we don't even know our own neighbors, so it gave me a calm, sentimental feeling - almost like Iiving in a small town. I'm kind of bored - read all the magazines and slept a lot. I would rather be at work b/c when I'm home I just feel guilty - and not that good "guilty" feeling like skipping school - that bad "guilty" feeling that makes you think "shit, I'm going to have a lot to do come Mon.". Tomorrow if I feel ok I might go to the Domino bazaar - this market place thing that Domino magazine is having somewhere in the city. Sandra's working the event and got me a staff pass so I might go for a while - scope things out. I don't have any new or interesting pics, so the most I can offer is my "look of the week" - a pic from Marni Spring 07' runway.

Good night blog,

Dear Blog,

Well, a lot has happened in the last month or so since my last blog. By now I hope that you've come to terms with the fact that I'm just not a good blogger and never will be. I guess I'll start with work. I got a promotion and raise, which is always nice and now I'm officially the Private Label designer for our company White + Warren. Works kept me busy, but it's nice to have more responsisbility, and thus, more of an opinion. Fashion week ended with the Chado Ralph Rucci couture and ready-to-wear show and guess who was in attendance....ME. Sandra had xtra tickets so Sam, Chip and I sat 3rd row and chatted with all the celebrities.....well, really we only talked to each other b/c no one would give us the time of day but it was fun anyways. Our friends Chief Martin and Steve Balls came for a visit. We did it up right in the city, in Brooklyn and even in Queens. I love those boys but I think they wore us all out. My ipod finally gave up - super little guys works so hard, so the next day I had to buy a new one. I just really can't live without the pod - maybe anywhere else, but definitely not here in this city. It's black and super-sleek and I love it, love it, love it. Now I can listen to music AND browse pics of my cat Rocket, or Paul whenever I want - sorry Paul, but you know I love that cat. Speaking of Paul, we moved him into his very own apt. last weekend, which was exciting. He's finally has room for all of his computers. It's officially Fall, no.....wait......it's winter already. It was SOOOOO cold last night. So much for autumn. Other than that, it's been kind of like whatever. Today, on a cold Saturday, I think I'll hit the met.....after watching ET on MTV and The SOUP, I'm in dire need of some culture.

Stay warm blog,
love,
Kate
